Shahana Quazi, a Toronto based Canadian singer of Bangladeshi origin, recently lost her father. It's been a while since the singer posted any new photos on her heavily followed verified Facebook page with over 21 million followers.
On Halloween (October 31), the singer shared a rare photo of a happy moment of herself with her husband, son and her father where she is seen trick-or-treating at her dad's house and collecting candy from her dad.
Shahana Quazi wrote, "A throwback from a previous Halloween when my dad was among us. In the pic, it's me, my husband and my son are trick-or-treating at my dad's house. Every year we collected candy from my dad and my mom first and then we went trick-or-treating afterwards. But this year my dad (the person in the middle) is no longer with us. We tried but our family could not celebrate Halloween today without him. To you all, #HappyHalloween! ðŸŽÆ"
While the singer is the most followed artist of Bangladeshi origin in social media with over 21 million followers on Facebook alone, she has always been putting her family first. Due to the loss of her father the singer declined to perform in all recent Bollywood mega shows in Toronto.
Shahana mentioned to DhallywoodLife.com that it will take some time before she can return fully to perform live on stage or to record any new song.
Shahana Quazi had previously shared stages with many of the world's top Bollywood singers including Atif Aslam, Sonu Nigam, Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik, Sunidhi Chauhan, Neha Kakkar, Ayushmann Khurrana and Indian Idol winners numerous times.
