Toronto based Canadian singer of Bangladeshi origin, Shahana Quazi, announced the sad news of the loss of her beloved father who recently passed away in a hospital in the Greater Toronto Area. On September 6, 2022, in a Facebook post on her verified page, with great sadness, she wrote "It is with extreme sadness and heavy heart I announce the untimely passing of my father recently. It took me some time to gather the strength to post this news. He was truly a very good person. My family and I ask for your prayers for him. May Allah (s.w.t.) forgive his sins, make his grave a vast place, increase his status in Jannah and grant him Jannat-ul-Firdous. Ameen."
It was only a couple of months earlier when Shahana Quazi posted a Father's Day message on her Facebook page saying: "Happy Father’s Day to my super amazing dad and all the fathers out there! Wishing you all good health and long life."
Shahana's father was an avid singer with great a voice and often performed together with his daughter, Shahana, in their family events. Shahana shared a video of her and her father performing on her son's first birthday in a family party.
His Janazah (funeral) Prayer was held in a large Greater Toronto Area mosque. Shahana requests her followers and well-wisher's to pray and make dua's for her father.
