'Chirkutt' Sumi At Two Major World Music Festivals

Bangladeshi band Chirkutt. Now gaining fame in foreign lands crossing the boundaries of the country. Apart from sharing the stage with the world famous band Scorpions in Madison Square, Sharmin Sultana Sumi's group Chirkutt has participated in numerous international concerts over the past 10 years.

But this time the scope is going beyond all. Because, Sumi is attending the world's biggest music meeting 'Omax' event. She participated here last year as well. The meeting will start from October 19 in Lisbon, Portugal and will continue till October 23.

Sumi told the news on Tuesday. She said that Chirkutt will participate in Norway's world famous Oslo World Music Festival for Bangladesh. It will start on October 31 and will end on November 6. They will join this event immediately after completing the 'Omax 22' event. She also said, I am going to participate in two big events in this tour of about 20 days. Honestly, there is no bigger music event in the world than this one. I am supported in participating by the British Council and Brighter Sound from Manchester UK.

She is participating in two events for Chirkutt where she would be seen as a climate change activist, lyricist, vocalist and music director.

They will leave Dhaka for Portugal on Tuesday (October 18). Chirkutt and Sumi were recently acclaimed for their 'Nodi Rocks' music project. Through which she tried to sing about the country's rivers with the support of various parties.
