"Bhai Phota is one of the festivals of the Hindu community". The dress code name of this festival is brotherhood ceremony. The festival is celebrated two days after Kali Puja. According to Hindu belief, this festival was given the god of death to his sister Jamuna. According to another account, when Krishna approached his sister Subhadra after slaying a demon named Narakasur, Subhadra offered her sweets after putting tika on his forehead. Since then, Bhaiphont festival has been in vogue. So sisters celebrate this festival by putting tika (phonta) on brother's forehead.

For 27 years, Bishwo Rang has been creatively presenting the history, tradition and culture of Bengal in a well-crafted style.
