Israt Tonni is a model and actress from Bangladesh. After spending a lot of time in Bangladeshi media, this model and actress relocated to Mumbai in 2019. She recently visited Bangladesh and responded to many inquiries from DhallywoodLife.
After relocating from Bangladesh to India, what projects have you worked on?
Israt Tonni: Since 2019, I've been in India. A starring part in the Hindi online series 'Tharkisthan' became available. My performance in the film was nominated for a 'Filmfare OTT Award-2020' in the category Best Actress (Comedy). This web series received the most views in 2020. It was shown on a high-profile channel.
What works in showbiz did you receive a positive response to during your time in Bangladesh?
Israt Tonni: From 2007 until 2017, I worked in Bangladesh nonstop. I received a lot of positive feedback, especially following the release of the Goheen Baluchar music video. Jennifer, the telefilm, garnered a positive reception following its advertising.
What kinds of work opportunities are there in India? Which Indian actor or actress is your favourite?
Israt Tonni: I'm going to work as an action heroine in Bollywood. For the past 5 months, I've been practising mixed martial arts (MMA) and parkour. I am a huge admirer of Rekha Ji and Raj Kapoor. Deepika as a heroine is also appealing to me.
When are you going to return to Bangladesh?
Israt Tonni: I will most likely be unable to travel to Bangladesh while working on the current project. In India, new work is being done. I'd want to finish them. After that, I'd like to return to Bangladesh.
Do you not want to work in Bangladesh?
Israt Tonni: Of course. I spent a long period working in Bangladesh. However, the urge to work according to the intellect is stronger. If I get a solid job offer, I will surely work here. Also an Executive Director, I work for an App firm called Hello Super Stars.
